I believe for Juneau we are going to do the helicopter tour (about 2 hours) mid afternoon.

In Skagway we are looking at a 3 - 4 hour train ride through the mountains.

Not sure on the others yet.

Dates? What Heli co. are you flying? Lots of good things in Juneau, get out of downtown. More info will help.

Skagway, you are doing it. The train is it. A must get to is the Skagway brewing pub at the end of Broadway on the right. Great burgers, beer and the best onion rings in Southeast.
We go up once a year for the rings and a beer,or six.

As always, PM for more real non tourist info.

In Skagway,Robert service (or Jack London) had a cabin there, kinda a neat way to spend 10 minutes. lol. Also a really neat old time bank, that is actually a functional modern bank with ATM's. Modern Wells Fargo, built inside the old Wells Fargo building, with the manual old time coin counter in the middle you can fiddle with(it will fit a 1894 Morgan and dispense it as needed), a couple neat displays. The hardware store has guns and ammo at WAY too high prices(5-7 pistol for 1500, when I was there in '14). If you are into engineering the snowplow train that is right off the main drag is pretty neat as well. The town isn't really very big, having been there in September right as they are closing up for the season it gets downright ghostly.

It's too bad you have so little time in Juneau.  It was a long time ago that the Wife drug me on a cruise.  While in Juneau we took a float plane ride to Taku Lodge.  The place has a great history.  The view getting there and while there was wonderful.  They fed us grilled Salmon for lunch.  One of the better parts of the trip.
