Hey guys, wife doesn't like bugs (go figure), so I'm looking for some help identifying these suckers.  Black vine weevil?  Some other sort of beetle?  I'm just seeing them here and there in the house, usually hanging out on the wall or ceiling, not really doing any harm (that I can tell).  They seem to be about 3/16" - 1/4" long and very hard/crunchy when crushed.

Thanks!

Yeah, I saw they are mainly a vegetation pest.  Don't have any plants in my house, barely have furniture here

Guess I will continue to squish.  Maybe find something to spray on the exterior.

black vine beetle i think, decent photo thanks(most photos i see look like sasquatch) They may be living inside your walls/crawlspace, they are detritus feeders(IE anything that they can eat that is dead, they dont really like meat though) so a wet spot by shingles that made some mold, damp crawl space with mold, a house plant, a wall with a drip that can make mold, ect ect. hell they can eat carpet glue from what I've heard.(<- semi pro entomologist). clean behind your stove, fridge, and see if a bird made a nest in your attic.
