Anyone seen any H4350 in their travels through the Anchorage area gun shops?

TIA

If I find some in Fairbanks do you want me to grab it and hold it for you?

I appreciate the offer but no. I have IMR4350 but thought I'd see if there was much difference between the two. I'll be in anchorage on the 25th and have a day to kill so I'll see what I can find.

In my limited experience with these two powders, it seems that IMR 4350 is a tad bit faster than H4350. Anyone else have any experience on these two powders?

Until that day,
Darkop

Depends on what you're loading.

In my experience, loading the ".30-06 family", there's not a nickel's worth of difference, but loading the belted magnums, H4350 seems to work better as it is a tad slower.

I have been seeing 1 lb and 8 lbs at sportmans regular.

Also check Three Bears in Chugiak.  They have a good powder stock.  Not as good at Sportmans though.

Sorry I dropped the ball on this thread guys. Just got too busy up north at work and then Hunting season took over my life.

I've been shooting a lot so worked up a 6.5 CM load at 42.7g IMR 4350 W/ 140gr berger seems to bang steel pretty well at 802 yds. I'm going to try to get out to 1200 yds. before my spot snows in.

Hope everyone is getting a BUNCH of shooting' in before the snow buries everything!

until that day,
Darkop

I couldn't remember which powder you wanted, but Cabela's in Anchorage has full shelves.  And carries Hodgden.

I bet they'd tell you over the phone if they have it.
