The wife and I drove down to the range today.  Coming along very nicely.  large covered pavilion with about 10 spots and pistol range down below near the parking area.  Supposed to be open on the 28th.  We shall see.

Now if we can just keep people from destroying/trashing it.

I talked with DNR today out at the Maud Road range.  Due to shipping issues for materials, the range will not be open until 22 Aug 2015.  It seems that the sound barrier for the covers is the hold up.  Once the range is ready to be opened, the area around it will be paved, out houses there and it appears that there may be some type of shooting benches in place. Not only did the rifle shooting area get some major upgrades, but a 25 yard pistol range.

Yea, just from what I could see last weekend, I didn't think it would meet the 7/28 opening.  Still a lot to be done.  Benches are being built now and should be in place soon.
