Someone on in our office was talking on the phone with an office in Anchorage when the earthquake just hit. According to USGS it was 6.2 magnitude NW of Willow.

It went on for a bit and was increasing in intensity. It was the first tremor I actually started to get concerned about, apart from one that dropped a dresser across me when I was a kid.

My brother is in Anchorage for some sort of training, I think. He said he had a grand old time drinking coffee and watching people panic.

Huh, I figured there'd be more insanity from being in one of the upper circles of hell. Or would you say it is closer to Purgatory? I know New Jersey is "the special hell" though.

Working at the Port of Anchorage when it hit. I thought the port was going to slide off into the inlet. All the cars were dancing in the parking lot and power poles were trying to stay in step with them.

I was good until the second bump then got a little nervous. I am glad I was not on one of the platforms in cook inlet

Felt it all the way in Valdez, and just the other night we had a 4.5 here in Valdez. Lots of activity around right now.

There was another one near Willow this morning, although it was only a 3.7 magnitude.

well someone (me) left their camera on the end of the work bench , SO , now its on its way to the nikon repair center .
