I'm thinking about doing the ruck march this year downtown Des Moines to help raise awareness for veteran suicide. I'm going to try and carry as much canned food as my backpack will allow. It's a 6.5 mile march through downtown. All food and monetary donations will go to the VA.

If anyone else wants to join in IM me or post within.

Looks like it would be a lot of fun, unfortunately since my injury, almost 4 years ago, it's hard enough to try and just walk let alone carrying any weight. Our niece that we raised just completed the Bataan Death March down in New Mexico in uniform and the heavy pack...I'll live vicariously through her.
