I only see one thing really wrong(legally)with what he was doing. The rest of the stuff, whatever floats his boat.

I guess I worded the OP wrong.
Yup, only one thing legally wrong, but how many of you would do this, this way...tactically? Maybe it's just me. I've been wrong a couple of times. 
Not sure of the punishment though. A slap on the hands maybe. Stern words spoken to you? Jail? Fine? ...Dunno. |

Are you sure he wasn't a Sheriff? not a Deputy, but a Sheriff. Some of them carry that way, and they wear street clothes.

I dont think many of them would carry a sigma I fell they would all have higher quality firearms
