I don't think passing legislation to allow every citizen to consider themselves part of the militia would fly in Iowa.

I agree.... Iowa's Constitution, Article VI, is so sexist and ageist to restrict the militia to certain folks...
What about women and the elderly? Don't they have rights?

What our State Constitution needs is to recognize 2A rights.

Until we have the 2A codified in our State Constitution, all this militia talk is bullshit.

This makes since, especially since the whole concept of incorporation was fuzzy before Heller and not well adjudicated in Iowa to my understanding.
