Our family of five (ages 3, 6, 8, 43, 44) will be visiting elderly In-laws near Waverly on our way to visit the wife's outlaws in central MO.

We need to find our own lodging for the night but all the vacation rental places come out to $220/night after damage deposit.

IA state parks require a two night minimum for camper cabins--we only need to stay one night.

Any good indoor water park hotels in this area?  I figure if we're spending $200, might as well be fun.

you are pretty much out of luck for a fun hotel to stay at. there are a few around with indoor pools, but that is about all you are going to get for family activities.

Nothing much for family in the area but look at new hamption they have a super 8 with pool otherwise they have a motel that the gf and I stay at at least 1-2 month and it's like 45$ per room at the motel but no pool or anything fun like that and it's maybe a 15 min drive to waverly

Not sure of it, but isn't there a water park at the Isle casino in Waterloo?  (About 20 miles south of Waverly.)

Darn!  I just booked at an americinn with pool in Hampton.
But we'll be through again, so I'll remember that for next time!
