Call me a sinner, but I don't like IDPA style events, ESPECIALLY 3-gun.

There is also an IDPA governed/style 3-gun event in Linn County this weekend. I believe they require you to pass their safety course before you can participate (no idea if they offer it day of)

I will likely shoot USPSA at Blackhawk this weekend.

I'm with you on the IDPA thing. It's pretty bizarre after shooting USPSA.

I've shot a 3-gun match at Eddyville though, and it was pretty relaxed. Keep in mind that there are no official IDPA multigun/3-gun matches. They're all "outlaw" as they say. Every club or match director will have his or her own take on it.

I had fun with the Eddyville crew.

LOL, my android tablet does that some times when I cut and past.  Wish I could find some more info on this shoot, like can I run multiple optics etc.

I wouldn't think your Saiga would be allowed, even though it can't complete a course of fire without jamming. The handgun should be IDPA legal.

This is the ruleset they go by: http://seipsg.proboards.com/thread/215/idpa-3gun-rule-mickelic-style

Greg ran optics on all three guns last time and it wasn't an issue... so the rules aren't hard and fast I guess.  I think they'd rather you show up and shoot what you brought than tell you to go home.

Anyway, here isn't the place to ask.  I would ask in this thread: http://seipsg.proboards.com/thread/367/3-gun-match-sept-13th

Yea the vepr was pissing me off, but I picked up and modified a tapco g2 trigger for it. Hopefully that will fix the hammer reset issue it was having. I have yet to run it and see if the issue is resolved.  I tried to post on their forum, but the captica (sp) won't work on the tablet.  I might just hit up the USPSA  a!t the black hawk range as that saves me a couple hrs of driving and save ammo for the Ankeny 3-gun the following week.

Isn't it great that we have no shortage of 3-gun matches this month?  There's one in Centerville, too.
