THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I'd like to beg/borrow/steal some equipment to film as much as possible during the rally. How many of you have GoPro cameras? These little guys are quite versatile - both the original and the Hero 2. They can do time-lapse - which I would love to dedicate two or three cameras to. One mounted to the tower up at the shotgun range to capture all of the cars coming in and people moving about, and maybe one on the berm off to the side of the NFA range and one near the 100 yard range for the vendors/speakers. Those would require tripods, obviously. The end result would be well worth it. They can also be mounted to guns, which can provide some pretty dramatic angles. One pointed at someone's face on one of the NFA guns or the .50 will no doubt capture some huge grins. I intend to acquire a Hero 2 and Strikemark picatinny rail mount. I have a couple of tripods, but I'll need one of them to keep with me for filming. Anyone out there that can commit to helping with this? |

Honestly, the more footage the better.
The key to getting some really great shots is to shoot a high volume of stuff and pick out the best ones. I may enlist the help of strongarm or jtrout to get some footage of the NFA stuff. Might have to teach em how to turn on a camera though. Are you comfortable letting strongarm near your Contour with a BFH? |

For those of you that haven't seen it, this is the video I made from filming last year.
This year I want to focus a bit more on attracting new attendees and explaining what the 2nd Amendment Rally is all about, rather than just getting a bunch of footage from the NFA range. |

It's totally up to him though. ![]() |
