Hey all,

I'm trying to get a bill passed this year that will loosen the restrictions on night hunting coyotes. If you have time contacts your senator and representatives and have them support senate bill 58. Currently we can only use rim fire to night hunt and this would loosen the language to allow any cartridge below .225 bullet diameter.

I'll do that. Has anyone given you a reason for rimfire only? Noise? What about adding language to allow any caliber suppressed?

The law was .22 rim fire only and spotlights only prior to 2 years ago. I worked on getting NV added and opening it up to all rim fire. GFP thinks people will poach if we allow bigger calibers. People will poach no matter what, this just allows us law abiding folks to protect our property.

Has this already passed the house?

We passed the senate and the house. Word from the governors office is he's going to veto. If you get a chance email the governor asking for his support of SB58
