Fargo, ND! But I travel the entire state for work. As for hunting and shooting I do a lot out west. Also have a cabin on Lake Sakakawea and do a lot of shooting right off my deck!

I couldn't imagine hunting anywhere in this state except the west side. East of Bismarck just seems lame to me. Sakakawea is nice, I haven't been up there much in the last 10 years or so. How was the water level last year?

Water has been up the past two seasons. Its actually too high! Earlier this year there was 30 yards of beach. Now as you can see it is up to the cutbanks.

At one point last summer, the beach here was under two feet of water. It receded this fall but left all this deadfall that I have to cut in order to drive my ATV on the beach anymore.

ND, Burleigh, Bismarck. Usually shoot at McLean Bottoms gun range, when it's not full... I love how they put the new pistol range on the North side of that range, pointed at the incoming road.... Really smart idea! :S

Got to have a job before I can move I don't know much about the job market in that area... but I think it is about like the central part of the state.... If you are willing to work there are plenty of jobs out there. May not be the best pay, but there is a job for ya. ETA: check out http://rapidcityjournal.com/app/jobs/ or www.sdjobs.org. for a quick listing. Good Luck! |
