I got one as a present last Christmas, and it is still in the box, never used, as I assume these are not legal in Michigan.  Is this assumption correct?

From my reading, it would be illegal to carry it concealed.

A good link to laws : http://www.akti.org/state-knife-laws/michigan/

Thanks for the confirmation.  If anyone knows of any group actively working on improving our knife rights, please let me know as I'd like to support them.

This website seems to contradict the one already posted.  Not sure what is more accurate.  I know in the last couple years they changed the law so "hunting" knives could be legally carried.  A hunting knife could be anything with a single edge theoretically.
