Just got back home from a long excursion to Wyoming via I-80. The trip "back" was to go to Florida to help with hurricane clean up. That included Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, & Georgia. Return to MI was through GA, SC, NC, TN, KY, & OH.
Average prices for gas most of the trip was around $2.00. The diesel we were buying was $2.12 to $2.33. The wife was using Gas Buddy to keep track of prices along our route. When checked costs, MICHIGAN was always the highest by 20 cents or more.
FWIW & it's no surprise at all...
She was driving north out of OH while was surfing my phone. I knew the second we crossed the state line on US23. MDOT enjoys the highest gas prices yet consistently produces the shittyiest roads.
There are better gravel roads in Wyoming than many paved roads in this state.
