Looks like outfielder Justin Upton joined the roster for 6 years.

TLDR; Tigers starting pitchers posted a -8.1 WAR in 2015 (-11.6 without Price). |

The Detroit Police Athletic League says an April groundbreaking is planned for its new headquarters and youth sports facility at the site of the old Tiger Stadium. Russ Russell, chief advancement officer for Detroit PAL, tells the Detroit Free Press they'll be "up and running in a year." The nonprofit's headquarters will be an L-shaped structure that partially encloses the historic playing field, which will be used for baseball and other youth sports. On the opposite side of the field, developer Eric Larson plans a residential and retail project that could break ground this year. Tiger Stadium opened in 1912 as Navin Field. The Tigers left for Comerica Park after the 1999 season. The last portion of the stadium was demolished in 2009, but people still use the field. |

You guys paying attention?
JV has been busy. Watch his slider. It's gone from Nasty, to downright filthy....Corner to corner on the break, with a nasty drop at the plate. Sewage treatment plant levels of filthy! He's still in the early 90's with the fastball, and has GAINED control on his curve. He's changing the break point on the curve to imitate a slider....at will. Lolitch was the only guy I ever saw do that. Like a 2004 Brunello.....it takes a couple rough seasons to grind the sharp edges off, and mature into something spectacular. This is gonna be a hell of a year!!! Iggy and Ian are back, and even more gelled with Nick and Miggy. Jimmy Mac and JD are just as solid as they were last year. Upton, the rest of the starting rotation, and the Pen are the wild cards, but I have more faith in Avila, than I ever had in Dumbassbrowski.. Nevermind the basement dwelling dweebs and pundits, we have something here, and all the cobwebs havn't been shooken out yet. Happy Spring, Gang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

|
Wow Upton is something, and not Kate, even though they both helped out JV
|
|
The pen is the problem...still, and again.
Can't blame the Bats. They get hot, and go cold. One run is enough. Most of MLB would kill for the Tigers Offense. Third highest payroll, and the Pen still has holes in it, but is solid enough to work with. I fully expect to see some moves made before mid-season. Just a couple changes, and it's late fall Ball. |

That's some mighty fine baserunning View Quote Iggy forgot where he was. Cobwebs and all that... There it is!!! Ugly wins are still wins. Let's see how Sanchie and the pen does tomorrow. The Marlins will be pitching Upton and Ian differently, and things will change a bit. Best part is....BASEBALL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!! |

V-MART is a beast!!!
Victor Martinez is the first player since at least 1914 to hit a pinch hit home run in each of the first two games of a season. |
|
I have been waiting for Salty to make his presence known.
He's a solid Catcher, and when his Bat gets hot, he does some awesome damage. Last year was NOT typical for him. How about Ian? All those tards on Mlive, and the radio sports talk dorks, have been bagging on Ian as "Avg" defensively, and not pulling his weight offensively, all winter. So now, they a silent all of a sudden, except a few saying there is no better two bagger. Some time in the Batting cage in the off season, and getting a better slot in the line up, is all it took. Greene had me worried in the first. It looked like he was falling apart like he did last season. Whatever adjustment he made, needs to stick. If it does, he will only get better. I like where the team is going this year. Just a few tweaks in the Pen, and it's late fall ball for sure. |
|
Remember all those folks screaming about Nick needing to be traded?
Dunno what happened, but he's darn sure stepped up, and now there isn't a single weak spot in the batting order, for once. Farmer got kicked back to Toledo, but I figure he will be back up soon enough. I really think the Kid will work into a darn good Starter one day. |
|
Giggy-FRod is getting warmed up, maybe we should get 5 more.
Mario- I'm with that FRod gives up back to back HR's Wunder what FRods ERA is now. 18 at least for tonight's effort and counting 2 homers, 2 walks and Moo is up. WTF |

He got 'em in the end. THERE you are!!! Ugly wins count as much as pretty wins. It's been a while since even a ugly win was available Yeah, this cold Bats, and shitty pitching thing is getting droll. I started having flashbacks of last year, when Verhagen forgot he wasn't pitching batting practice. Something clicked the wrong way all of a sudden. Just like last year. |

I blame Ausmus. I have and continue to do so until he's gone and a *real* manager is hired for the club.
I haven't watch more than a couple innings per game and it's the same 'ole Tigers. I hope they turn it around soon especially at the end of May when I'm going to a game. lol :) |

Ausmus gives Miggy and JUp the day off.
The next day, Miggy goes 4 for 4 with two homers and 4 RBI and JUp gets a hit, scores a run and gets a sacrifice RBI. Fire Ausmus! Also, FTC! (Fuck Tyler Collins) |

TC is a clASS act for sure.
I'm sure the fans won't let them know their feelings each time he takes the field or comes up to bat. ETA- I have to watch the 49th CMA awards. Again,my Elder like it She likes Justin T's butt, along with Luke Stagefaller's |
|
yup TC doesnt understand about Detroit and tigers fans, he might as well leave now,

Looks like Brads new rotation gives JD some legs, and opens Miggy up to better pitches at the same time.
Now if we could just get McCann back in the rotation, and get Gose to wake up.... |
|
yup, Gose needs to wake up, Upton needs a kick in the ass, I kinda like Salty right now because he is hitting, if this line up we have wakes up, i`m not too worried about the pitching, as we will just bomb the hell out of them
