Well tonight's game should be interesting. With V-Mart's comments to MLive after the game I can see both benches warned early.
I don't think Burnett will hesitate to throw at our guys. And this the last time we play these pukes this season it could get ugly. Hurdle has been an asshole since he played for the Royals. Cespedes bobble head night! Guess I'm going to have to go! |

I want to see what happens in the second half. Part of me thinks this team has some fight left in it, part of me thinks they're just a little short. Bottom line, in the end, Division winners or not, wild card or not, playoff or not, they WILL have a winning record. |

I was thinking the bullshit the Tigers were putting about how VMart would have surgery and a few weeks into the season or whatever, everyone was gonna be fucking okay.
While people who've ACTUALLY had that injury talked about not being "Right" even a year later. What a fucking crock of shit coming from the Front office. Mike deserves way better than this.  |

I was driving and forgot it was an afternoon game. Put it on in the the top of the 9th, Rodon throws a pitch and Dan says "This is going to clear the bases."
Then Rodon gives up a walk and a double and Brad brings in Gorzo. I was SUPRISED that only one run scored. I'll be happy if they finish this season over .500 |

I do think they will be in the mix in September but they just rip your heart out when they play like this.
So hard to watch the pitchers struggle when we have had such a dominate staff in the past. Well, I'll never give up on them but it would be nice to see them get hot for a month or so. Got tickets for Father's Day so we are headed back tonight and I hope we see more fireworks then what takes place after the game! |

11-5 in the 7th. One out, and bases loaded. The bats have suddenly woke the hell up, snorted a line, downed a pot of Coffee, and three Rip-Its. 18 hits so far.
It's feast or famine with this bunch.
Simon fell apart at the seams early. All over the place, no control, footwork was totally out the window, and to the point he was FALLING off the mound with the over step, and Avila had to do some sort of King Fu theater shit to stop the worm burners. Screw AAA, he needs to go back to Babe Ruth ball, and have some kids explain it to him. The bad news is, we are already in Pen, Again, and Ryan is starting tomorrow.
Can Romine Pitch? McCann would be awesome on the mound....awkward, and goofy looking with the quick throw, but I bet he gets the job done better than Simon.
I'm enjoying the game, but it's REALLY putting a spot light on the problems with this team.

Right now, our rotation is David Price and a bunch of guys who suck. I THINK that Justin is going to get better...but how much better and how long is it going to take? Sanchez is getting better, but how much longer can he be healthy? The Tigers need to grab someone up as a rental and make a run, if possible, at a wild card. We've seen this team tear ass in the second half. They do it every year. They need another pitcher though. |
