THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
I got a smoking deal on a 16" post ban upper from a guy at work earlier this week and I wanted to have threads cut to put on a FH.

I would love to be able to send it to ADCO or some place similar but I would like to have someone local do it.

Anyone have any ideas who in the Genesee County area (or surrounding counties) who could cut it?

Thanks

Not having a barrel threaded but I went into Williams a week ago and asked them about doing a pin & weld. The guy said they do that. I then asked him how much and what their lead time is. He went into the back and came out a couple minutes later and said: " It's $150.00 and you're looking at five weeks.". I said thank you, then left, and sent my stuff to Rainier for $60.00 with a turn-around-time of a week.

Wow that is a long wait time. I question them sometimes. I was looking at suppressors there and the guy told me that it can only be used on a single weapon and can't be transferred. That's why there is so much paper work. I laughed.

Barrel threading for suppressors average $100.00 to $125.00 pending factory specs. Again 10 to 14 day turn around time pending present work load.

Absolutely. I've done my share of paying more to support local businesses. While I wasn't attracted to the price, it didn't initially put me off. 5 week turn around plus almost $100.00 more though? My face kinda got all twisted up as I left. My only other problem with Wiliams is their Glock agenda. Want a pistol? Glock. Well I was looking at [insert brand here] –– "Just get a Glock." Actually had a guy there say that to me a few years back.

It is what it is though. I don't hold anything against the place, I still go there on occasion. Although I've been taking most of my business to Sheridan Arms in Saginaw lately. Good prices, helpful folks, easy to get a hold of. Not sure if they do gunsmithing though.

I will never go back to Williams Gun Sight again. They have the worst customer service that I have seen in quite a while. Once your sale is final, they couldn't give a shit about you.

thanks guys.

I've had bad dealings with Williams in the past so i don't think I'll be going to them.

Looks like I will have to find someone or bite the bullet and ship it off.
