I can't seem to find the info I'm looking for.  Going on a family vacation to TN and have a pontoon boat for the week.  So a few easy questions:

If I'm on the pontoon with poles and put a line in the water does everybody on the boat need a license even though I'm the only one fishing?  Ideally only the folks that would fish would get licenses but I want to be legit.
Do you need a license to fish from the bank or a small dock?

Thanks in advance.  Hope the get into some stripers.  I'm sure they'll be deep.

If you are the only one fishing you would be the only one who would need a license. And if you are fishing public waters from the bank or a dock you would need a license as well.

Thank you. The way it's worded is if you take fish. We don't intend to take fish. Unless the real fishers have some to keep.
