NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A teenage fugitive who’s been on the run for more than two weeks has been arrested in Nashville.

Kuyvonta Cain was taken into custody early Wednesday morning and charged with four counts of  aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury. He was taken into custody at an apartment off of 1st Avenue South in the Tony Sudekum public housing development.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Cain shot into a car full of innocent people that included a 6-year-old and a woman - whose head was grazed by one of the flying bullets.

Cain has been arrested more than 70 times.

Nope, Juvie Justice system that does little more than slap them on the back of their hand.

Back in the good old days of Jordonia and a couple others, 'youth' knew they were truly screwed if they messed up.  For the last 25 years or so the Juvie system has been getting softer and softer.

Another example is the 'girls' facility at Tullahoma is now the Academy for the adult corrections system.  No more jail cells for the little wayward girls.

Or just prosecutors and public defenders that get paid the same either way.

The focus of the juvenile justice system has been to rehabilitate rather than incarcerate.

Given the current clientele, it would be like putting shit into a food processor. Why should anyone be surprised at the outcome?

The entire system does not reflect the realities of current society in America

Rhetorical question: At WHAT point during this asshole's SEVENTY arrests does it begin to dawn on some do-gooder that this asshole will NOT be "rehabbed"????

He is to the point of needing two in the back of the head, for society's protection...................

Doesn't have anything to do with do-gooders. The juvenile justice system wasn't set up for miniature career criminals. You can't punish outside of the guidelines. And, they can do some heinous shit, not get bound over, and... get out when they are 18/21. Hell, if I recall correctly, the death penalty is off the table until they are 18, anyway.

It has always been this way. That kid ain't the first, and definitely won't be the last.

Doesn't make it right.
