...they play just to the level needed to match an opponent.  They do not seem to try, or are incapable of, dominating an opponent.  They try to play it safe.  This makes them vulnerable to mistakes and momentum loss.  It creates pressure on players to "make something happen" which leads to forcing plays and sloppiness.

It has been that way through the Butch Jones years.  It's like they are funning at 60% throttle, players and coaches.  Very little speed to their game, very little innovation or explosiveness.  The offense does not seem confident and just looks unnatural when moving.  Dobbs is the worst...he looks like a wooden puppet and moves so stiffly behind the line.

Even so, go Vols!

I'll go with that.

I also think college ball is going the way of the NFL with all the Tom Foolery and such.

And again...with the epic Vol suck.  Seriously.  The Gators are the visiting team, have a new QB, not just to the team, but to the SEC and Neyland, and it takes them a minute to break it off in Tennessee's ass.

LOL.  Go Vols.  Just go.  Somewhere.  Anywhere.

Butch "won't apologize for a win."  Well, he probably won't have to worry about having to convince the fans that another barely adequate performance is SEC caliber after this game.

Maybe I'm pessimistic.  But I grew up near Buffalo, NY, and rooted for the Bills through it all.  Couldn't I at least get a college team that kicks ass?

Wanna know how I know this was posted before the 2nd half?

We have played to our competition for decades, not just with jones. It makes for some frustraiting games, but at lest they're interesting.
