Hey guys I know this was on here last June/July when this was first released but I figured some may not know about it. They are still trying to get the Gadsen Flag plates for Tennessee and are closer to the preorder goal.
Tennessee Gadsen Flag License Plate Just in case you were interested. |

Thanks. I didn't know about this. That would be worth $100 a year.
Yeah, I paid over a year ago and have been waiting and waiting...
I think there's less than 250 more to go. |
Plate lettering? All you have are numbers, such as 000-999 same as on NRA plates you get an assigned number that's it.
I would love to help. I live in Florida now, so I am out of luck.
Looks like they reached the goal fellas. We will finally have a dtom tag here in tn.
and as soon as I find my new ride I'll probably apply for one. I have not wanted to put the tag before the car. Been holding back cause I'm currently looking for a new to me Subaru Outback. But they only put the driver pedal in about 5% of them it seams from looking at percentages for sale on cars.com and autotrader. and most of them have all lived up north for a while, or still do.

Hell yea! It's been a long time coming. Looking forward to getting my plates!

As soon as my county drops their stupid $65 wheel tax (they never will), I'm in. $89 for tag renewal, give me a break!!!!
I ordered yesterday before they cut it off. That last 250 went quick.
Last update I got was in the beginning of November.. Maybe it was the beginning of December, I cant remember. But the email said that everything was on track and getting final approvals.. Timeline thrown out was possibly late January or February.

That's good to know. Still sucks to make 2 trips to the county clerks office.

Dont know who on here is getting the updates but I received this one last night
First, I hope everyone had a great holiday season. It has been another month since my last update on the TN Gadsden license plate. I called and got an update today. The Vehicle Service Division acknowledged there were some delays with this tag because of the holidays. However, the TDOT testing has been completed and TN has place the order with the manufacturer this week. They are anticipating the license plate will be available in the county clerks' offices by about mid-February. They are planning to notify me when the plates are being sent to the county clerks' offices. I will let you know the status as I get updates. Please continue to be patient, it will soon be on our cars. Let me know if you have any questions. Yep, I got that email too. I've got one vehicle up for renewal this month as well.
Mine expires at the end of February.. I'd love for it all to pan out to where I only have to go to the clerk's office once lol
Were these a limited run plate? I'm moving to Knoxville next month and would love to get a DTOM plate.

Latest update
Are you ready? I got the below information from the TN Vehicle Services Division today: "Just wanted to let you know the letters are going out to the initial order customers and the plates are starting to arrive at the county clerk offices. Once the customers get their letters they can go and pick up their plates." The time has come. Enjoy your new license plate. One of the big questions we get all the time is if the license plate will be available for motorcycles. The Vehicle Services Division has started the process and the motorcycle license plates will be available about mid-March. Let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully I get my letter soon. I have been waiting for quite a while.
Me as well.. I technically dont need tags til the end of Feb. But if it comes in Ill be getting it ASAP :)
Is the title meant as a joke (like 'dag' instead of 'dog') or did spell check go into autoincorrect mode?
I haven't gotten my letter yet from the County Clerk's office ... I cant wait!
No letter but I called the clerk and its there. Going to wait til the 1st so I can still renew in February instead of January...
I got a letter today but it states that the assigned plate will be shipped to the clerks office on the 27th of January (today) but does not state that it's there.
Also the letter doesn't state which clerks office has my plate. We get the same plate number as our old plates correct...? I know had to enter my current plate number in the system when I ordered it, for some reason I think there is a "assigned plate number" on that letter that's different than my current plate. Not sure what's going on. |
I also got my letter from Nashville today.
It says the plate should be at my county clerks office today as well |

I emailed John (the guy over this who's been sending the email updates) and he said you don't have to have a letter and since my wife got one, my county should have all of them. Not sure where my letter is but I'm going to go Monday and try to get both. |
