I'm volunteering to work the NRA Foundation/Friends of NRA Banquet.
Also got a ticket to the NRA-ILA seminar. Looking forward to it. Anyone else? |
|
As a life member, I'm planning to go since it's in Nashville, about an hour and a half or so away.
Haven't been to a NRA show since the one in Seattle back in the '80's. I'm looking forward to it. |

NRA convention and Knob Creek on the same days and my birthday is that Friday. I've never been to one of the conventions but I'm sure it's just like Shot Show. I've been to the Creek a bunch of times and I need to rummage for parts. What a dilemma.

I will be there. Never been to one but I've heard it's pretty awesome. I've read online that they actually open the floor up a day or so early and to try to hit it then and avoid Saturday and Sunday like the plague.

Gonna try to go that Friday, with the hope of it not being as crowded as Saturday and Sunday.

Hmmm... Knob Creek shoot on Saturday, stay for the night shoot, hotel.... up early Sunday morning, NRA show on the way back home...
Tempting. |
|
Also, on Saturday is the meeting of the membership.
Wayne and the Board will be there (sounds like a rock group...). Robert's Rules of Order will be in effect. The membership will be informed on what the NRA is doing on various topics, and any member can address the board. It can get somewhat interesting at times. (Google "NRA Revolt at Cincinnati") ;) |

Wildhorse Saloon is kinda sorta one as well. If one can on Fri, ease over to Dan's, on Lafayette & 5th Ave. South. Loosen yer belt & pile it on/in ya. Soul food at its finest. He's closed on weekends though.............. I'll gather up the list of anti-gun restaurants to post later. The TFA web site keeps a running list of them. |

I gotta do my annual membership check.

Couple of quick questions for the multitude.
1. How safe is the LP parking lot folks are going to be bussed from? 2. Will the shuttle buses allow folded wheelchairs on board? 3. Can you use private wheelchairs or do you HAVE to rent one the NRA is touting at a mere $40.00 a day?!?! 4. With the current Metro mayor and the trouble the NRA has had in the past. is concealed carry going to be allowed? |

Couple of quick questions for the multitude. 1. How safe is the LP parking lot folks are going to be bussed from? Should be no issue as the FSA will be aware it's the NRA members there. IOW, they don't want to get shot. 2. Will the shuttle buses allow folded wheelchairs on board? Depends on which ones are used. City owned buses are almost always ADA compliant. I can't imagine why one couldn't carry on a wheelchair though. 3. Can you use private wheelchairs or do you HAVE to rent one the NRA is touting at a mere $40.00 a day?!?! Private wheelchairs are absolutely allowed. 4. With the current Metro mayor and the trouble the NRA has had in the past. is concealed carry going to be allowed? View Quote Seems to still to be determined. Others might know for certain, but *I* can't say for certain yet. |

I'm coming in from a business trip and my days off end the Monday before the convention. I have a feeling my company will send me out of state before the convention kicks off.
If not, I'm in. Would be silly not to go if I'm in town. Picking up three new guns next week to get in the spirit. |

Didn't realize it was in Nashville this year. I'm on the fence about it.
