Not sure about rafting there, but in the SE corner of TN you can raft at the Ocoee River. Should be about a 2hr~ drive, straight down Hwy 411.
Also on Hwy 411 is Benton Shooter's Supply, possibly TN's biggest gun shop. Not necessarily the cheapest, but perhaps the biggest. If you make it down, eat at the Gondolier restaurant on Hwy 64, just down from Parksville Lake & dam. They're about 10 minutes (if that) east of the dam, FWIW. Other than their steak, every thing they have is gooooooooooooooooooddddddddd, to quote Andy Griffith.  |
