The family will be staying in a rented house on the lake next week. Has that part of the state been without much rain like Ohio? What's the lake looking like as far as water level and water condition?

I live approx 5 minutes from the lake. Around the fourth it was really bad, with the level dropping throughout the week, but we have gotten a good amount of rain lately and when I was there this weekend they were at normal capacity. It can get crowded depending on what area of the lake you are on, but isn't hard to find a cove that is empty to anchor out and swim/ski/tube if you want to or do it from your dock depending on traffic.

The lake was very nice. Rented a jet ski one day, pontoon boat another day and did some tubing. The house we rented was right across from Deerfield Cove Marina.

I live on the anderson county side of the lake (south of your area) . We went out for a few hours this weekend. The unseasonably cool weather kept most lake traffic in.
