Sat Sept 22nd
Huntersville TN (small community a few miles South West of Jackson)

5 man teams
10 Stations
Each Team Member shoots 5 pairs (10 shots total) per station for a 100 shot total
Each station will be either a report pair or a true pair
Report pair means the second target comes out as soon as you shoot at the 1st one
True pair means both targets fly at the same time.
Both of them can be a challenge.
Team Average determines the winner...also best individual score will be recognized
There will be a judge following with your team to keep score.
It is a professional outfit out of the Carolinas that comes and sets up the course. their machines are extremely nice.


Paid shooters can come and eat dinner friday night catered by Coyote Blues resteraunt out of Jackson
Non paid shooters can attend the friday night event $25 per or $35 for couple if you want to bring your wife/SO
There will be a open bar for the night time event with wine and beer.
Silent auction, live music and some sort of retreiving dog exhibition (not set in stone yet) all friday night

Saturday there will be 3 flights
9am 12pm and 3pm so whichever would be most convienent for your team
Lunch is provided for paid shooters on saturday. Think BBQ sandwich and beans and chips.....something of that nature.
If you have a 4wheeler/polaris Ranger type thing it would be perfect for the event. I usually bring my 4wheeler with a basket on it and load all my teams gear and just use it to shuttle every thing from one station to the next..

I will say this.....If you really want to take it competitivly there will be others there to test your mettle against. If you are like me, its just a fund raiser for a VERY worthy cause and I just take some buddies. Last year I had a guy on my team that was a complete novice when it comes to shotguns. Its a great event.

There will be more details coming as we get a little farther along with planning and confirming in the weeks ahead.

Pricing will be firmed up by the end of the week and the brochures will go out begining of next week.

ALL profits go directly to West Tennessee Area Council. This is not just a Jackson event , money from this goes into the council's budget which covers all of west TN (excluding Shelby County)

If TN HTF arfcom wants to band together and form a team thats an idea to think about also.

I'd love to be part of a HTF team, but I don't know if I'll be able to shoot a shotgun well enough to hit anything by then. (I lost quite a bit of range of motion in my right arm last year and haven't been able to shoot right handed.)
