Are you in town for the Van Halen concert?

I’ll let the local guys fill you in on all the LGS, but I do know one of the better stores (with mostly modern guns) is Guns and Leather on Highway 41 near Greenbrier

Well, if you want engraved & expensive goodies, then Game Fair in Belle Meade is your place. Franklin Gun Shop has a nice selection of upper tier goodies, they're about 25~ minutes south of Nashville on I-65.

Not too many shops around here carry a lot of C&R due to them being found more at the local gun shows, IMO.

Franklin guns has got to be the 2nd worst place I've tried to do business with. The last time I stopped in there I had about $2k of fun money in there and was looking for a new play-pretty. Maybe because I wasn't dressed like I was from there or maybe they saw my old pickup, but I left there feeling like I couldn't get laid at the womens prison with a pocket full of pardons! I won't be back to that store, they had their noses so far up the locals finer dressed asses that I couldn't even get waited on. They don't seem to give a damn about us country boys with a wad of cash with a rubber bnd around it. That was aroind 2001 and I don't plan to darken their door again. OP if you drive a Mercedes and wear girly dress shoes and don't know a damn thing about guns then that may be the shop for you!

Not disagreeing with any of that but I understood him to merely wanting to visit & look, not buy. Huge difference, eh?

I had a similar experience there in '09, stopped by on my way back in from a contract in west TN. Haven't been back, plan on keeping it that way.
