Yes indeed.  Just might have to build a full auto.   I have enough land and the terrain is such that I will be able to shoot right on my own property.

Does anyone have a spot for dove hunting for a dad & his 22yo son?   Both safety conscious, lost our long-time spot North of Portland to home builders.
Nashville, Hendersonville, Gallatin area?  I have a gig Fri but will be  back and could make early Sat morning.  Any other day after that would work too!  Thanks!

Howdy everyone.  Just a new guy checking in from south Nashville.  My name is Scott and I've been shooting since I was about 8 (which was about 58 years ago).  Bought my first AR-15 a few months ago and have really been enjoying it since.

There's a ton of information here and it will take me a while to dig through it, but I'm pleased to be here and I'm sure I'll enjoy hanging out for a while.

For anyone in the Knoxville area.  Stop in at Shoot Point Blank across the street from Cotton Eyed Joe's and say hi.

I'm there most Monday's from 10:00 - 5:00.

Checking in from Chapel Hill... Moved down from WV.  Family has lived here for years.  Love the state and the country side is unbeatable.   Grew up in Mississippi and have missed how much nicer the people are as a rule when your truly in the south.

Hopefully I can buy some rural land over the next couple of years.

I wanted to add an update.

Since we moved my wife and I've been volunteering with the East Tennessee Friends of NRA.

I also work at the new gun shop and range off Lovell Road, Shoot Point Blank.  It's across the street from Cotton Eyed Joe's.

Loving my new home.

Dan
Chattanooga
Graphic Design, Sign Maker, Prop Builder

I started my graphic design career back in the early 00's working as in-house designer for Dawson Precision Firearms outside Austin, TX. https://dawsonprecision.com/

I learned a lot about guns from Dave and the guys there, and I plinked with pistols early on, but never personally owned a rifle til now. I'm brand new to riflery, and though I've bought two rifles in the last year, I haven't gotten to shoot yet (a crime in itself). I figure it's about time I step up and round out my duty as an American and learn the one skill that we might end up needing at some point.

I'm looking for someone to shoot with and learn from, as well as getting involved in the world of AR shooting. As far as I can tell, Chattanooga is woefully lacking in good rifle ranges that don't cost a fortune, so I'm scouting for a place to practice in or around Hamilton County.

Nashville
Web developer (hopefully soon a law student)

Been shooting for about 10 years, lived in TN for about 12-13 first Chattanooga, then Oak Ridge, now Nashville.  Shoot as much as I can along with some friends and my wife.  Have an unhealthy obsession of tinkering with things and once I got a lathe that went out of control.  Trying to get into making all the oddball guns I've wanted.

Hey folks,

Name's Andrew

Moving at month's end to Nashville (not original, I know...). I'm a grad student and presuming I take care of my business, I aim to put down roots in the state and don't have any intention of leaving. Stopping by Charlie Haffners to sign-up for membership will be a day one priority

Anecdotally, everyone i've bumped into or interacted with here has been friendly, courteous, and welcoming. I truly appreciate it!

I kinda feel bad that I never updated my info here....

We moved to MS at the end of 2010. We moved back to east TN in mid-2014.

In mid-2017 we moved to what I hope will be 'home' for many more years. We're between Columbia and Lewisburg.
