I have a unique situation where I have a business located in Louisiana, but the Vice President lives in Utah and has some business investment assets located there.  I was wondering if I could get someone to contact me because I am unsure as to if I need to register a location in Utah.

At first I was thinking that I didn't need to register in Utah, since there is nothing wrong with a business owning assets located in another state and the company will likely never conduct business in Utah.  Now I am starting to second guess myself and wondering if I need to register in Utah just to be on the safe side.  I just want to make certain that I am not violating local laws that I know nothing about.

Oh well, just to update this, I'm registering the business in Utah as a Foreign Corporation just to be on the safe side.  I guess I can thank my clients for not loading me down with work so that I could research the topic on my own today.  :D
