The are mentioned above is closed/fenced off now.  Most all of the are along Redwood Rd. is private property and marked as such.  Continue on down about another mile and look for the open gate.  Take the dirt road up a quarter mile and shoot to the west of the power lines.  East of the power lines is closed to shooting by the BLM.

Or continue on down another 4-5 miles and take the Soldiers Pass turnoff.  Go 4-5 miles and find a place to shoot.  Be careful though the area has a bunch of off roaders.

Keep the place clean.  The BLM and Sheriffs department are actively looking for people leaving trash and issuing fines.

I live in Saratoga Springs and find it easier to head out to the west desert for the day.  The people leaving trash and the BLM have made it a pain to shoot on the west side of the lake now.

Pony Express trail.  Go pass Cedar Fort and pass the no shooting sign.  Pick a spot.  Was there yesterday.

So I used to shoot in the gravel pit north west of the Walmart there in Saratoga but they have gated it all off now and I was told it is off limits.  Is there anywhere up provo canyon to shoot anymore.  I live right near the mouth of the canyon and used to shoot for free along squaw peak road but that has been closed for several years. Can you pull off the dirt road that goes goes to squaw peak or even past the campground at the top of Rock Canyon?  My brother is coming out from Texas and we want to spend a few hours with a dueling tree somewhere.  Any ideas close to Orem?
