GD Thread... ... as well as threads on a few other forums... and I just got an NRA-ILA alert. No legal eagle here, I think it's still in the proposal/comment stage, consensus seems to be it will almost certainly be advanced to a rule, though.

ATF proposal. This is currently a "comment" period where the silly taxpayers can make "suggestions" to our government betters. I've sent my comment in.

So lately the ATF has been changing their "oppinions" on a lot of things, the sig brace, now this, something else I forget.
Here is something to think about. Back in the day the oppinion on full auto was pretty simple: if it did not fire full auto, it was NOT full auto. Then they decided that an open bolt semi auto was in fact a full auto. I'm thinking they could easily say that all semi autos are "machineguns" because they are so easily converted, or something. I'm sure Obama has a team of lawyers working 24/7 looking at every way they can possably get some back door gun control. If just that one guy at ATF writes that oppinion it will basically be treated as law. Kinda scary really. |

For what it is worth, most Bi-Marts in Eugene still have XM855 in stock..... at $0.48 a round.....
Not cheap, but it is there. |

There are 2 things about this that piss me off, one is that I had just started shooting the ZQI SS109 that wal mart sells cheap, the other is that it is an example of the back alley stategies they are useing. Personally I don't care if it's ss109 as long as it's cheap. |
