THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Hey I am planning on shooting tomorrow. I will be bringing a couple of Machine Guns and other fun stuffs. If you would like to join me, shoot me an IM and I will give you directions to the location. It is only about a 40 min drive from Beaverton. I should be leaving to head up there around 9AM. (No it is not Brown's Camp) Also, If you would like to sight in a Rifle, I will bring all of that equipment too if you need it. (Please let me know if you need it) If you would like to shoot the Machine Guns, I just ask that you bring your own ammo or cash to buy some of mine. You will need 9mm for the Mp5 and .223 or .556 for the M16. |

That is very generous of you to invite your fellow ARFCOMMERS to go shooting. I would take you up on the offer, but my wife will be dragging me around on Saturday to buy a minivan....
Full auto is a real treat, but ammo sure goes quick. |

It was really good, 3 ppl went with me, nice to meet other gun ppl out there.
I will try to get out again in a few weeks. Weather was perfect too. |

I'd sure like to get out this coming weekend, I too have new(ly acquired) guns to check out. I always go out to the coast range, it's easy to find a clean spot and then leave it that way! I may shoot the next guy I see blow up a TV and leave the mess there, it's starting to get pretty bad and we, as a community, need to start better policing ourselves or we may soon have to drive a hundred miles to shoot- sorry, got off on a bit of a rant!
I have lots of SBRs and suppressed stuff I'm happy to let others shoot- though generally at their own expense:o) Sadly, no MGs yet. If I could just stop buying guns for a year or so I could buy one. Soon enough. If you/anybody else is planning a trip this weekend post the details. A BBQ could be in order? J |

The only issue is that it is supposed to be 93 this saturday, so bring Sunblock and lots of water. I will bring out my canopy so that there is shade. As usual, I will bring my table to set guns on and several steel targets. If you need to bore sight your rifle before you shoot paper let me know, I will bring out my kit for that. BBQ sounds great as well, let me know what to bring as far as food stuffs. We will head out to the big quarry off of Salmonberry road, it was extremely CLEAN. Not much trash at all, when we left we grabbed a bunch of spent shotgun shells that where just laying there, other than that, there wasn't any other trash. I figure we can all meet at the Mcdonalds in North Plains right off of 26 at 9 am. Then we will all convoy up. Please respond if you will be attending!!!! |

Since it turned out to be 102 Sat I hid out inside all day, what can I say. This coming weekend (8/11 & 12) looks to be more nicer and I'm certainly up for a trip. If anybody has similar thoughts we should all get together, bring guns & food! We have 4days to think about it, what say ye?
I read (in a Lake Oswego paper of some kind) that several popular shooting areas had been closed, Memaloose was on the list as were areas off/around Wildcat Mtn Rd.I know a group of near 30 people were all ticketed for shooting somewhere out of Zigzag, they swear it wasn't posted and evidence of prior shooting was (unfortunately) obvious. They should all be going to court in the next week or so, I'll let you know the result- it's likely some of you here were among them? I'm just curious what the rest of you have heard about the closures? As a group we need to better police ourselves. I know the members I've shot w/previously are responsible but clearly many shooters are not. It's embarrassing to drive past these dumps looking for a place to shoot, to the PoPo you/we look like the losers who are leaving all the trash. Everybody that shoots should bring an extra hefty bag and help clean up a bit, if we all did that every time there wouldn't be any more closures. The people leaving the messes should be beaten...or at least prosecuted! J |

I just found out I will have my Utas uts 15 shotgun on Friday, so I will be playing with that. Already will be bringing a couple of ppl with me. Food sounds great and the place we shoot at is wide open and very clean. Same plan as last time, meet at the McDonald's in north plains and convoy up. I do not have a portable BBQ but I can help with bringing sodas. Please let me know what sodas you like and I will bring them with me. |

If only you were going on sunday, I would be in like flint. However I have to work all day saturday. I would certainly be fun to meet some fellow arfcommers.
