Currently have a BCM pistol lower that I will be slapping a butt stock on soon as my stamp comes in. For a while I have been set on getting the 9" 300 blackout upper from BCM as well, but after seeing how expensive 300 blkout ammo is im starting to reconsider so I began looking into the 12.5" 5.56 upper. What do you guys think? This will be my first SBR and with the amount of money I will be spending I dont plan on getting a suppressor anytime soon... Not unless the HPA falls through of course

I really like my blackout... i reload though so ammo is much cheaper.

Only SBR?

12.5" 5.56. And I'm the biggest BLK fan out there. But if I can only have 1 it is 5.56. In 12.5". Excellent choice.

Yeah this will be my first NFA item.. For so long I dreaded the process and how unconstitutional it is, but now im over it. Keep reading and hearing that 300 blk is perfect for short barrels! But since im not a re-loader the price for ammo is a turn off because I shoot a lot. 12.5 seems like the perfect compromise for a short barrel chambered in 5.56

What about an 11.5" or 12.5" 6.5 Grendel or 6.8 SPCL upper? Ammo is reasonable for each and very hard hitting and accurate.

i personally have the BCM 12.5 KMR SBR, it's outstanding, perfect barrel length in my honest opinion. I'm really wanting the 12.5 300blk from BCM, that way i can just swap uppers

Did you get the gunfighter comp mod 0 for your 12.5? Think im leaning towards the 12.5" 5.56, but something tells me im gonna wish i got the 300blk lol

Would require new mags, new bcg and ammo thats nearly $1 a round.. Not a reloader, but starting to sound like i need to be one

Get the bcm 12.5 in 5.56. Get a 8" radical firearms 300blk. The 300 is a range toy and short hunting rig. I got a 10.5 radical upper and it shoots great but I would not pick it up I'm a shtf situation not because of reliability but b/c ammo is hard to come buy.

Yeah 12.5 in 5.56 seems like the more logical and economical choice. Plus I could mess around with slightly cheaper 223 ammo as well. Definitely will save up for a 300 upper later down the road though

cool deal, sounds great, you will not regret getting anything from BCM, i hear Liberty makes a nice suppressor. Good choice on the 11.5 556 upper, if you go to the industry section and look up BCM, they explain why they sell the 11.5 over the 10.5.
