Saturday, October 3, 3:30 PM on CBS
Sanford Stadium, Athens, Georgia

The rain could be heavy at times. New precipitation amounts between 2 and 3 inches possible.
High near 62. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Chance of precipitation is 100%.

Find a nice cozy spot with a big screen TV, it's going to be a mess.

Georgia is a 2.5-point favorite, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Alabama is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four games as a betting underdog, with the most recent instance coming all the way back in 2009 as a 5-point underdog against the Florida Gators in the SEC Championship Game.

But......

Ga will still blow it..

Since they both can't lose, I'd rather see Georgia win.  They'll blow a game down the line against Kentucky, UT or Florida, but any day Alabama loses is a good day.  Georgia has the better team, and probably the best in the SEC.

Me too. Hopefully the pregame festivities will help take the nip out of the day.

Hope it's a good game though, and GO DAWGS!!!

Roll Tide! If the rain turns this into a running game then I think that may help Alabama. I don't trust Coker enough to do it through the air.

I didn't want to be the first ant to the picnic but this old Tech guy, who was born in AL, has to stand up and say ROLL TIDE!
Going to be a sloppy game so I don't think the score will be high and I doubt Chubb will keep his 100 yard/game streak going.

It's been so long since they were a 'dog that those stats aren't very relevant.  Georgia's recent record at home against ranked opponents isn't bad.

It's hard to find sports writers or talking heads that pick Georgia in this game.  Alabama is a popular pick.  That being said, Vegas still likes Georgia.

With all that being said...  GO DAWGS!!!

If it's gonna be a running game, I'll take our backs and O-line over theirs. Run defense is close enough to be called pretty even, and I don't think the passing game will come into play much; if it does, we have that over them Coker is a joke. Coker is worse than Peyton manning in the rain and we have better WRs.

On a side note, it's cold as hell in Athens today and I'm tailgating under a roof right now and haven't even been in the rain that much yet. And again, GO DAWGS!!!

Richt shoulda been fired years ago. I have sat at the cemetery with the lettermans club and heard them extol his virtues as he's list game after game. Richt should be fired for how his players act at the very least.

Unfortunately until we have someone to replace him he should stay.  I agree with the big game troubles, however he has been the most consistently successful coach in the SEC, 1 down year 15 years and still made a bowl game.  Unfortunately success in college football is only measured in perfection.  I'm a die hard dawgs fan and the problem I have is not showing up to the game, just like last year at FL.....it's unacceptable not bring you best to the field.  If you win great if you lose sucks, but give 100%  they never showed up.  I said at halftime, only down three scores, get a 3 and out, put up 7, and this is a game again we can make changes.  Well we did just that, only put up 7 on the wrong side of the scoreboard with that pick six.  Then it was over.  If at the beginning of the season I were to tell you the dawgs would lose one game and go to the SEC championship, how would you feel?  I'm guessing ok with that.  I'm hoping for winning out, and playing AL again, or LSU.  Go Dawgs.

You want Richt fired, find a quality replacement first.  By the way, Richt is one of the few coaches that puts kids futures and discipline above winning; he attempts to help mold the young men's lives for the for the better and the future.  For that I have a love hate feeling for him at all times, because I love my team winning as much as anyone.  However in the end it is just a game.

Your last paragraph seems like BS to me. Why does he let players play who get in trouble? If he was all about molding lives sit their ass on the bench if they do stupid shit.  The players seem to have no discipline off the field. They get in trouble out in town and still play Saturday. Im a dawgs fan myself.  Hell, my Brother has season tickets.

He usually does bench the players, this week not benching McKenzie was the first time I have seen him not bench a player.  So there may be other details we are unaware of there.  I distintly remember him benching two starters against clemson 2 years ago and it cost us the game.  They were dui in  a boat....my point was he does discipline the players.

I agree he does more than any other coach in college football as far as discipline. The reason UGA has a rep for "trouble makers" is because Richt doesn't sweep it under the rug until the NCAA makes him do something about it. Miami, Auburn, FSU, Florida, USC, Tennessee, Ohio State....the list goes on and on, and none of them will bench a single player that hasn't been benched by the conference or the NCAA. You can't play the game for the kids, he's a great coach and even a great coach can't do anything about players laying down and not doing their job on the field. If he benched all the starters that slacked against bama, we'd lose the rest of our games and then you'd really see some bitching.

No, the AD is the one with the hard hand. Look at Ga. before and after the current AD. Before it was acting like thugs, dancing on the sidelines, no discipline, getting locked up. Richt did little to stop it. After the new AD came in things changed and Richt was suddenly a hard ass. But if you watch the last of the Alabama game the Ga. Players stayed true to type, with out of bounds cheap shots, late hits, etc.

Lol. You do know he came in 2013 right? Richt has been benching and removing players before him so I'm not sure what you mean except you're not a UGA fan going by your last statement. Anybody remember Crowell, he lasted sooo long let me tell you. At any of the schools I listed he would have played until NCAA removed him, end of story there. So you don't like UGA or their coach, that's fine. You don't have to come up with reasons that don't exist though.

Yeah that was yet another disappointment. I must be odd for blaming terrible defense and the QB(that we already knew would be an issue). Haven't gotten the urge to light my torch yet and go looking for the coaches head, our boys just got outplayed.

Prayers out for Nick Chubb, he's a good guy on top of being a great player. I hate to see any player injured, even if they play for Florida.

This one was not on Richt, terrible tackling, missed field goal, dropped TD's, poor pass timing most of the game(although some great throws),  Can't blame Richt for this one, we were beat.  Pray for chubb.  Torn PCL and 2 other ligaments.

Must disagree with the above, UT fans are several notches above Bama and FL fans, not just one

So I'm only imagining that Ga. Was called for out of bounds and late hits towards the end when Alabama had the game put away?  And yes, before the current AD, Ga. Was notorious for arrests, acting like bangers on the sideline, and just general thuggery. They still have troubles, but dismissals are more common now.
