Sounds like lunch may be the best for everyone. Anyone else want to give their opinion on this? Potluck? We need sides to go with the pulled pork.

If lunch is what is wanted I'll wake up early enough to have it ready.

Next trip out there I will do an inventory on plates and accessories.
Camping Friday and Saturday night is perfectly fine. Outdoor hot shower can be setup up for you smelly hippies campers. |
|
I picked up a couple hundred orange 1" stickers for those who are visually challenged ;)
There will be someone there on Friday afternoon. Once the lawn is mowed, you can use the range to practice and sight in. |

I think a late lunch is it.
I took a quick peek at the supplies. I think we have enough plates, serving spoons, and silverware. Need paper towels. If you plan on eating... let us know what you are bringing. Food or $ for those who do cook. I'm thinking a tray of banana pudding from Dreamland. |

Who's in charge of the food? One of the few rules at my place, is that I want nothing to do with the menu or organizing it. I have enough to do with everything else. |
|
Pot luck! Bring what you wanna eat, and hope no one else has!
I'm bringing the meat and smoking it. Everything else is just details! |

Bring your own sight in targets if you need to do some fine tuning, or just to verify your zero.
Competition targets provided. |

I got a shipping notice.
UPS is bringing a big box of goodies to me. |

I still need to get out again and see if I have a load that'll give me a shot at MOA.

If you are going to leave your guns out, don't forget to pack you chamber flags. If they are in a case, no problem.
I'll have some extras if you need them. |

View Quote I'm gonna' try to talk Meme into making some Faux-tato Bake (something like THIS) to bring for all the low-carb/paleo folks.....If it's in a heavy foil pan, will there be room near the heat to warm it up by eating time?...I'll see what else she's willing to whip up...Maybe a low carb cheesecake to go with it for dessert..... |

I'm actually going to get up at 0300 for you guys and start the smoker! It'll be warm.
Walmart sells the thick pans with stands and heaters. They are cheap and work great. You would need two sterno, one stand, and two pans. Fill the bottom pan with water and sit the next pan on top of it. |

The things I do for you guys.....
Actually I'm not doing much. But taking to gagunter off line is eye opening as to what it takes to do something like this. He could have bought the grand prize several times over again....And that doesn't include labor and time he has had to dedicate to this. Everyone needs to bring that man a beer! (Or a $100 bill! ) |

Cole slaw and potato salad, and broccoli salad are always very popular. Can't go wrong with extra drinks either. Money needs to go to the host. |

I ordered a pan of banana pudding today from Dreamland.
2 new excuses are now available if you still don't have one.... "I was having meat sweats after all the bbq" "My blood sugar was way high after the pudding and sweat tea" 38 hours folks.... Time to stage the gear in the man cave. tick tock tick tock. Who would have thought we should have ordered RO sweatshirts, instead of t-shirts for a September shoot. Gonna be a cool start on Saturday. Ground will be wet. I think we will put down a tarp or 2 so your shooting mat doesn't get soaked. |
|
If you have an extra bottle of dillo dust, please bring it along. I'm sure the chef would appreciate it!

I'm going to be late. Football games are at different times and different fields.
Save me a spot late in the afternoon, should be there at 3. Hope it's not over by then. Rich |

Major kudos to GAHunter95 for putting on an awesome production. Special thanks goes out to GAJeep for getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to cook some killer BBQ. This is truly a great group of folks we have in the GAHTF. This is certainly not your group of stereotypical ARFCOMMERS. IF you don't make a point to make it to these events; you are missing out. I had a blast and look forward to seeing y'all in two weeks.
ETA. A very special thanks to our sponsor Larue Tactical for the great prizes and swag. |
