I saw a cool looking modified Toyota yesterday when I was working one of our cargo contracts.  All I know about it is, the drivetrain is Toyota, and it had Streit on a tag, thats an armored car company.

The body lines are almost like Iron Pig meets 4Runner.

Yea, it looks pretty cool.  There  was a tag on the door handle with one word, Streit, I'm guessing it was made by these guys.  http://www.streitusa.com/
Also, its smaller than it looks in the pic.  I was wondering if it used to be a RAV 4.

Looks like 4 Runner, longer then a FJ Cruiser wheelbase wise and way longer then a RAV4.

I'm digging the tactical rims.

Hard to judge the size from the pics, but Toyota 4Runner's are 6 lug.

ETA: Looking at the rear suspension on the last pic I'd guess maybe Sequoia/LC chassis.

So that thing is going in an airplane?  Bet that isn't cheap?

I just can't see that chassis being able to support significant amounts of armor at speed for very long.

I thought the same thing also, unless the axles and hubs are beefed up I don't see it either.

Doesn't have the Tundra's solid rear axle.

Given the type of modifications to the vehicle I'm sure the suspension/chassis has been beefed up over stock. I'm more surprised with the factory wheels and BS Geolanders.

Here are a couple pics I took of the underneath of the thing.  Looks stock to me.

I stand corrected, it is a solid rear axle. Those are not factory springs/shocks though.

I'm betting the wheels and tires get swapped out before delivery.

I'm betting 6 months of use and it's garbage...or that armor is barley IIIA

Yeah they did updat the springs and shocks to take the weight I guess... I would have done the sway bars too.

Tin foil hat time. Could it be designed for modern urban areas?  Paved roads and modern street designs?  Don't really need an MRAP for downtown Atlanta.
