In case you run into the "we don't do that" I found in trying to find a place to engrave my SBR, I found a great place.

Dobbs Defense in Dallas, GA

I wrongfully thought I could just go to a trophy/engraving shop to have the receiver engraved.  Nope.  I heard everything from "we can't engrave that deep" to "you need an old school hand engraver".

So, I lucked upon Bryan Dobbs @ Dobbs Defense.  It was getting close to closing time on Saturday, but Bryan was nice enough to hang around.  He got the receiver expertly laser engraved in 15 minutes.

Good guy and great service.  Give them a try.

Do they blacken after engraving?

Thats what the sharpie is for.

 

They will Shake & Bake with cerakote if you wish.

I've know Bryan since 1989.  He was in middle school then
and he and his family were my neighbors for many years.
I was three years out of the Corps having done ten (76'-86')

He talks straight and you can trust him to ride the river or
watch your back trail.

He is not Robert Gradous, GAP or AO...  and he doesn't say that he is.

Did the laser look like it could engrave on the front of the magwell?
I like the guy up in Cumming a lot but I do not think that he can work on the front of the magwell.
