Last night, my daughter was inducted into the AFJROTC Kitty Hawk Air Society. It is the National Honor Society for Air Force ROTC. Not only was she inducted, but she is actually the founding Commander of this chapter at her high school. The principal asked some of the officers in the program to make a much bigger push for academic achievement within the JROTC program and she took the bull by the horns.
Here she is being awarded her cord for being the President of the chapter and the Commanding Officer of this program. I couldn't be more proud. Hopefully, this will help with securing the ROTC scholarship that she is seeking for Georgia Tech.
All of her involvement in the JROTC has been her decision and her doing. I would have never guessed that she would choose this path, but I am sure glad that she did.
