I was in the opt-in window with the new tax thing. It worked out where I had to pay, I think, $30 more than I would have paid for ad velorem tax that year so now I only pay a $20 tag fee.

The tag for my new FREE Nissan was only $20. Thanks to the dealer, the Feds, the State of Georgia, and free electricity at work, I plan to lease all my future vehicles as long as there are Federal and State rebates! The owner of the vehicle pays the taxes which is the dealer in the case of a lease.
And I guess the tag was really free also since I am now netting $20 to $30 every month I drive the car verses driving the Thunderbird. |
