Great news!   I've secured a brand new live fire shoothouse where I will be conducting training for civilians, LE and military.

Really nice........AR550 walls with 4" thick rubber standoff walls and an overhead catwalk.

What does the 4" thick rubber do?

Sounds awsome

Not Atlanta metro area close, but in Georgia.

oversteer said it. The rounds penetrate the rubber and stop on the steel. The rubber keeps ricochets and fragments from coming back.

4" rubber wall, then 4"-6" of space, then the steel.

Can I assume you need to wear armor for one of these courses?

I do not require students to wear armor, unless the facility requires it.

I teach room clearing as a 3 level course, each level being 2 days.  Level 1 is all walk throughs and white board exercises. Level 2 is force-on-force with Simunitions and the like.  Level 3 is live fire in the shoothouse.

In my civilian courses, the live-fire is done in 1- and 2-man teams.

What would something like that cost?

Would there be any requirements of the student such as military, LE or possible contractor backgrounds?

The only requirement is that you have to take the classes in order, and I may shorten it to 2 levels.

I've been teaching the Level 1 course for over a year now, I believe I was charging $400 for 2 days. The live-fire portion will cost more.

Congrats on the acquisition... that's a great asset to training.  Wish I could afford to put one of MGM's small houses on my property.

Consider me in when you put the first course together, wherever it's located.

Ever since the level 1 class, I've been waiting for the level 2 to show up.

D_J, since the weather is getting cold I'm going to do some of the Level 1 and 2 courses, since they're indoors. As soon as it starts to warm up a bit ill do the first Level 3.

This will get some more folks the opportunity to attend the prerequisites.

Sounds good.

Depending on schedule (my biggest challenge) I may retake level 1 and/or get my buddy Andy to go. He was just at the lowlight class in Oct.

Sounds good.  I'm planning on running Level 1 and 2 courses (unless I dispense with Level 2) this December/January/February.

No one. There were only 4 of us (if memory serves) that made the class - I think you said 2 dropped out. It was at the place down near Griffin.

Don't know if you recall, but I did the house clearing with my SBR/can since that's my HD primary.

Just across the border from Dothan AL.

D_J, when I do the next one, Jeff Edwards will be assisting me and we'll do a round robin style of course. Good thing about it is that Jeff does things a bit differently than I, so you'll be exposed to both viewpoints/alternate techniques.
