Recommend a North metro dentist

Had a root canal done on one of my molars last week. Talked to my regular dentist this morning who quoted me $1500 for a crown. To me, that seems just a little pricey. Anyone have a recommendation for another dentist or even a comparison price on some similar work you've had done recently .

I've been lucky enough to have not needed any major dental work in the past 20 years, and would like to think that this is just the dentist being proud of his work and not necessarily the going rate.

He does cerec (?) crowns. Meaning, they are made on site. One stop for a crown.

if you are looking for a deal, guaranteed work ... have you researched the dental schools? I know several people that have gone there and been very satisfied including my mom
