Ironically, on our last day in Russia (St. Petersburg), our tour guide said to us, "No matter what our political leaders do and the disagreements they may get in, we will be friends."

The next day Russian separatists shot down MH-17.

I got the same feeling. We didn't engage in any political talk, but I got the sense that our Moscow guide wasn't found of Communism, but was an advocate for what Socialism was supposed to me. On the Putin subject, all she said was that he was gaining popularity for having done some positive things for the Russian people in recent times. Russians, be strongly nationalistic, seem to love having the Crimea back!

You ass! Actually, Jerry stayed at the house and we had the carpets cleaned, so when we came back, everything was moved around anyways! LOL It drove me bonkers!

Funny you say that. A lot of people we were hanging out with on the cruise ship said they love Latvia the most. But my wife and I thought Estonia was better. But then again, by the time we got to Riga, we were tired of touring and there seemed to be a lack of organized self-guided touring material out there.

Tallinn, Estonia was amazing though! We have more photos from this trip (my wife took 664 photos on her camera); I'll have to get some up of Estonia.
