Just found out my Obsidian was approved yesterday, 1/24. So from pending 5/17/16, to yesterday, is 252 days. Now I just have to wait until QRF gives me the call that they got it. The lady on the phone seemed happy to give me good news, but she said the bad news is that they may hold it for 10 days. My last stamp took 6 weeks from the time it was approved until it was in hand. Lets hope I can go pick it up next weekend.

Sometime in June.

I submitted an eform in June. Let's hope I don't get an error notice. I filled it out just like my last one.

On another note, I drove down to QRF yesterday to pick up my obsidian that was submitted last may. They're such a pleasure to deal with too. They had a huge stack of form 4s waiting on pickups. Apparently a ton came in last week.

Spoke with two gentleman, one from Columbus, the other from Watkinsville. Enjoyed talking to them too. Shows how good it is dealing with QRF be use they have customers coming in from all over.

If they had only had 3 lug mounts in stock...

Have you called them to check?  Over a year is outside of what they are quoting when you call the NFA branch.

I ordered a new AAC can today from Silencer shop. I ordered another about 8 weeks ago and they said I had to do NO paper work for this one. They had every thing on file. The only thing I had to do is sign a filled out form in to places. They had it set up so you sign on line. Thats it.We will see how long it will take.

Got my Griffin Optimus today.

So it was right at 10 months from trust submitted till stamp came.

My brother and Hi Caliber, walked me through it all, gave input, direction and they were invaluable in helping me throughout the process.

AAC Eco 9 purchased 6/6/16 from Cherokee Gun.

Approved 3/3/17.

Got the phone call on 3/15.

This was my 3rd suppressor purchased from them last year, all before the June switcheroo by the ATF. About what I expected from the ATF. Really easy and positive experience with Cherokee Gun and Pawn.

I'm enjoying mine, I've only shot it on .22 (pistol and rifle), 5.56, and 6.8 SPC so far.  I'm using the A2 blast shield for the rifles instead of the minimalist blast shield with minimalist taper mounts, I haven't shot it in a full size configuration yet, or on a centerfire handgun host, need to get threaded barrels for both.  Shooting on my .22 handgun in my garage (with a .22 trap), it's louder than using CB caps and spits a lot of crap out, but is hearing safe.  I haven't tried it indoors on a .22 rifle yet.  Outdoors, there was a noticeable pop while firing with the .22 rifle,  but the other guys at the range said it was quieter to them than shooting an air gun.  With all three calibers for rifle, I noticed a definite pop while firing (obviously no Hollywood/video game silence), but it was strange hearing the round hit the backstop 100 yards away.  Now to wait on a stamp for a .300 Blackout SBR to really have fun with it...

Btw, I'll have mine at Angry Emu's for the shoot on the 8th, if you want to try it out, I should have my Glock 19 barrel by then.  It MAY work on other A2 flash suppressors, but only the ones from Griffin Armament are guaranteed to work, apparently there are a bunch out there with a different sized groove (which is also why my BattleComp 1.0 will be going up for sale once I clean it, same with the AAC 51T 5/8x24 adapter, just need to get the ultrasonic tank my wife "gave" me going).

OK, I found some subsonic .22lr, from a Ruger MkIII 22/45, the loudest sound was the bullet hitting the bullet trap about 15' away, and then the brass tinkling on the garage floor.  Put 30 rounds through it today after work, had a few failures to eject, but this pistol hasn't been cleaned since I bought it a few years ago, so that may be the cause.  They were both on the first round from the magazine, subsequent rounds were fine.  Since it's a .30 caliber can, it's a larger diameter than dedicated .22 cans, so even though I have "suppressor height" sights, the suppressor still obscured the point of aim a little bit.
