German Shorthair Pointer? I used to raise them. First I raised Viszla's, then GSP's. Now I've got a spoiled rotten Weimeraner named Dakota (named after Dakota Firearms)
Is it a field or show breed? The field breeds are a handful. They only know one speed - WFO Is it a boy or girl? For a boy, I'm thinking Stoner or Eugene.....maybe Picatinney How bout LayRue? Or Vltor? Maybe BlackOut or Tritium? You could always give him a good German name like Sturmgewehr and call him Stormy for short. |

I like Browning or Colt for gun related dog names.

I always liked Rommel. I've decided my next dog will be a black lab, and I'm going to name him Gaston.

Don't call him LaRue or the Texans and the ARilluminati Secret Squirrels will harass him. Oooooo.....call him "SOPMOD!" or "Popper." |

I just went through this.
Meet Baffle. I fought tooth and nail for his name and it suits him. Next closest one was Eli for Eliphalet Remington. Feel free to use that one if you want. |

I wanted to name my GSD Ronin (one of my favorite gun movies) or Rooster (ala The Duke). Ended up naming him Early (after Early Cuyler of Squidbillies fame, but I can say after Jubal Early, as well).
If it was a GSP and not a GSD, you could name him Trooper, since probably all he'll do is lock his nuts and chase cars. |

His Pedigree has a bit of both, which is good because he will be a family dog as well as a recreational hunter. I am leaning towards one of these - Trigger Bullet REPR |
