I'll throw this up here. I'm looking for work in the metro Atlanta area. I'm not real particular on what kind of work. I am originally from Marietta and would like to move back home but I need a job first. Both of these jobs are in the automotive industry and I have pretty extensive automotive knowledge. I used to have an ASE Parts Specialist certification but it expired in 2011.

I'm looking for full time employment. Preferably in the Newnan area but I don't mind commuting 40 miles if I have to.

I was a police officer from 8/2000- 3/2011. Before that I worked in Corrections for a county work camp for 5 years, 3 of those as a supervisor.

I have over 10 years retail experience (part-time) at a local hardware store where primarily I was responsible for the gun counter. I did all the ordering and inventory control of firearms, ammunition, and accessories.
I also worked the whole store when needed. I am familiar with plumbing, electrical, power tools, pretty much everything we sold. We even sold a lot of baseball and softball equipment.

I have always been very mechanically inclined and can diagnose and repair many items.

I can drive a forklift, stand-up or sit-down.

I've taken the Glock advanced armorer's course, Remington armorer's course for Model 700 rifles and Model 870 shotguns, and AR15/ M16 Armorer through Weapon Systems Training council.

I am also a NRA Basic Pistol Instructor.

If anybody has any info, just IM me. Thanks.

The company that handles the facilities where I work is looking for a maintenance tech. I'm buddies with the lead guy. Although he's not a gun guy, he's not anti gun. He seems to be a straight shooter, excuse the pun. The maintenance company is CBRE. I tried searching their website for the job posting but couldn't find it, but I confirmed today that he is still looking for someone. Maybe your search skills are better than mine (Job Search Link). The location is in Lawrenceville near the intersection of 316 and Sugarloaf Parkway. He's looking for someone with general maintenance, electrical and plumbing experience. HVAC experience would be a plus. I know a couple of the regular techs, and they seem to be good guys.

I have no clue about the pay and benefits, but I believe CBRE is one of the biggest outfits in real estate management, so I presume the bennies are decent.

If anybody is interested, shoot me an IM, and I'll see if I can get the req# or some way of finding the job posting.

We are owned by a larger company known as Magna International
