Lenoir is in the western part of the State. Sadly they don't have their own main city or a big city to anchor a sub forum but the section for that part of the state is athttp://www.city-data.com/county/Lenoir_County-NC.html Google with forum to find the specific threads for and about Lenoir.

Hickory is the biggest town/city and is sometimes referred to as Hickory-Lenoir-Morganton in statistics/census type labels.

Lenoir does have a gun show(rarely) but the promoter Gem Capitol isn't know for large good shows.  Asheville has larger shows, as does Charlotte, Raleigh, with Greensboro and Winston-Salem coming in behind the Capitol/Raleigh-Durham(Triangle Park region) and Charlotte for size of venue & vendors.


Lenoir used to be a large furniture making city and when the industry folded the area was hit hard for hundreds, if not thousands of jobs lost. Before that the Mills collapse.... Recovery from that is ongoing. So housing should be cheaper.
