I am in for that Saturday.
Has anything changed about the range? Is the gong at 300+ yards still there? |
|
We are going to try and make it out this time. Will need to look at our schedule and coordinate everything 1st with HQ to get lined up to bring the smoker and product to sell. We'll provide updates here.
|
|
Based on a text message convo I just had, it sounds like I'll be there with Jeremy from JK Silencers. Probably just for the day Saturday.
Good thing the Charlotte Dixie show is the next weekend!! ETA: I cross-posted it over on Carolina Firearms Forum, as I know several members from there that also post here, but not in the HTF. |
|
How much is it to get in for the new folks?
And more importantly, what all is Quantico gonna be smoking? |

I've never attended, but it's been $10/person for the previous shoots. Not 100% sure if that's per day or not. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

10 a day. Anne-Marie takes good care of us there. View Quote Yes she does, in return I make sure she gets some trigger time with the M16 w/ 22LR kit installed and a couple 'o mags of 9mm in the MP5! I had to pass on the 2016 fall shoot so maybe I can make this one. Problem is that Knob Creek is the following weekend, might be tough selling this plan to the wife. |

If you are wanting to shoot some machine guns, bring some ammo: 9mm , 762x39, 556 Factory ammo, if you want to do some mag dumps and stuff :)

Ok guys, we have the green light from HQ
We will be driving down Friday 3/31 evening to set up and hang out(WUFMAN, have the leadslinger ready!) Saturday we will be up early to get the butts on the smoker and have food ready around 12-1 We will be bringing a small assortment of product to have available to sell during the day Saturday like we have done in the past.
|
|
Glad to see that see that everything is coming together . Sorry I have now been on top of things for this one. Been busy with work and a home remodel then got the wonderful news
last friday that I was laid off. I'm still planning on coming just going to have to pay it low key this time. |
|
If I get the pain and numbness gone and strength back to my left arm and hand. I may go to this one.
|
|
Robbie that's GREAT NEWS. I'm out of Leadslingers right now....but will try to have some by the time the shoot happens.
|
|
Trying to get things ready to drive up Saturday from Charleston and hopefully have a buddy from Sumter meet me there.
Aren't there some steel targets, poppers or plate rack, in the pistol bays? If so does anybody want to do some subgun blasting before settling in at the rifle range on Saturday? |
|
Whelp I'm out. Wrist surgery scheduled for 3/24 and will be in a cast the weekend of the shoot.

Wife will be visiting that weekend and we may come down. Anything I should bring or know before coming down? Ant restrictions on ammo like no shooting Wolf? Rifle only? Etc. Thanks in advance.

For all you campers our there...
FYI, there is supposed to be a strong set of storms move thru the area on Friday night. You will want to watch for any changes to this forecast. I still plan on being there on Saturday, although it appears that I will be by myself again. I haven't decided whether I will bring the Mule again or not. |
|
I'm likely out. I was hoping to finish my build and at least get to do the accuracy thing at the shoot. The barrel assy. has not yet shipped.

Can you guys at Quantico bring a couple QD swivel adapters and extended butt plate for the MOE Rifle stock. I just recently put this stock and realized that I dont have a way to sling the gun.
Also, for anyone that will be bringing a MG to let us others try them, I am assuming that you will want factory rounds to shoot out of your weapons. If there is an AK present, I will assume that you are OK with Wolf steel rounds. Does anyone have a definite on any particular MGs that will be there? I look forward to seeing everyone, some of you again. |

Does anyone have a definite on any particular MGs that will be there? View Quote Between myself & passenger we'll have the following: MP5 & MP5K (both 9mm) Vector 53, G3, PTR in 7.62x39 and a MM23. M16's with 22LR, 5.56, 300BO and 7.62X39 uppers, you can run your own upper if its got a FA BCG. I could bring the MAC10 in 45ACP but in the past nobody shot it so speak up now! Shooter #3 has some guns that require links and while I can't speak for him and offer up his guns it would be prudent to have some 5.56 & 7.62x51 handy should he be in a generous mood. In addition he will have a postie M16, AK47 & HK pack. You're correct factory ammo only in the MG's and no corrosive stuff or crap surplus. Nothing heavier than 147 9mm in the MP5's and brass case only. Steel case is okay in the 7.62x39 guns and I shoot limited amounts of Wolf 223 in my M16. ETA: updated gun list. |

Between myself and 2 friends there will be some MG's, both transferables and post samples. View Quote Just to be clear, is this a "you can shoot for no charge using your own ammo" offer? Is the $10 range fee all we actually need? Assuming QT is providing the lunch out of their marketing budget? |

and was excellent... View Quote It sure was good to catch up with and meet a lot of you. To those that brought the auto, many thanks. I look forward to the next time we meet. Next time, I will have the .277 Wlv again AND the Mule for hauling gear. My phone said I walked 4 miles today |

First spring shoot I missed in the last 3-4 years I've been going. It was my sons birthday weekend. Saw some of the videos. FA for the first time (other than that cop showing up that one time.) that I missed. Man I would have sacrificed one of my cans for that.
Maybe next time. |

We had good time, but it's just a long drive. BBQ was killer and the beans too.
Wish I could have introduced myself to Covertness and Waylon. Thanks lizARd I enjoyed meeting & shooting with ya. Didn't catch your name but thanks to whoever had the UMP and the MPX, they were cool. Now about them pictures - I an't no Potato book member so post 'em up here. Besides it was an ARFCOM event not a Facebook event. til next time...... |

We had a lot of fun starting the morning off with a bunch of suppressed rimfire. Had quite a few with the often-seen "silencer giggle" when shooting one for the first time.
