Jack Little, owner of Whetstone Surplus on S. Main St. in High Point for over 35 years, was shot and killed in his store today.
Suspects are unknown.
I've known Jack all these years, and spent many hours and dollars there. He was as fine a fellow as you'd ever want to meet.

As with many such stores, he was likely alone at the time.  Somebody got the drop on him.  I suspect that in that part of town, gunshots are common enough and people don't report anything.

Horrible, horrible.  He was a great guy.  He's been my LCS since 1985 and the yellow jeep days.  RIP Jack.

Oh no...!  I've bought several guns from his store.  Bought mine and my wifes first carry guns from him back in the 80's.  I haven't been in his shop in years.  You couldn't walk in it back then for all the stuff he had in there.  But he was a fine and friendly man.

Rest in peace sir.

Thumbs up to the boys in blue.  Senseless crime.  Thieves are bad enough, a robbery is worse, but a murder is unjustified.  Death penalty case?  We ain't sent nobody to hell in over 10 years.

... ah, I see.  This was published the day after I posted my comment based on the original post that said he was shot.  Kinda explains a bit better why there was so much lag between murder and discovery of the body.
