no where near the target range you are looking for, but FWIW i've shot range PSR 37 a few times, and that place is very laid back, the guys that work there are chill, you won't have an RSO breathing down your neck. The range goes out to 100 yds.

I know there is a 1,000 yard range within an hour of Bragg. I'm still searching for it since I can't remember the name.

Woody's in New Hill NC is 55 minutes from Bragg. They currently go out to 450 with plans in place to extend to 1000. They also have a few bays already built with more expansion constantly in the works. Very nice place.

Met this guy on Facebook. Range is 885 yards right now. Located outside Fayetteville in Ammon on FL McDaniel Road. It's called Recondo Operations Group. They hold rifle and pistol classes....long range being the specialty.
We are considering holding the fall hometown shoot there....just not sure yet. Search Recondo Operations Group gun range and Win Recondo he is only on facebook right now....no website |

I would be in, still a little bit of a drive for me. But I would like to point a rifle in the general vicinity of something 800yards away. I wouldn't hit it, but I would certainly try

Shooting in NC is atrociously expensive. And most ranges are very short. I did read here that there is one range near Fayetteville that goes out to 500 or so. I've been meaning to check it out.
