Birthday is the 27th and I'm trying to pick a place for the family to eat (13-16 of us) and I'm out of the loop on the finer dining around. Both my brothers birthdays are dec 25th so we are going to Gregoria's Cuban Steakhouse on Christmas Eve for them. I like seafood, steaks, Italian, GOOD Chinese and sushi. I know that's a broad spectrum, but is there anything that really pops out as "wow, you GOTTA go here!"?

Thanks; I've added the German Grill to my personal list. I've had a hankering for some schnitzel and didn't know they were there.

Best in the Triangle:

There are so many good restaurants in the Triangle, though, it's really not funny.

Angus Barn...you pay for the "experience," not the food.  Best wine selection in the south.

Solid but I'd replace Sullivan's in Raleigh over Angus Barn.  Better steak IMO.

Chama's brazillian Steakhouse in Bright leaf is also an excellent choice.

Checkout Nana's in Durham (across from the Thai restaurant on University Dr) or Mateo Tapas in Durham.

German Grille is really good!  About as close to genuine German as I've had in the US.
